Celebrating 40 years is a fantastic feat. Celebrating it on such a busy weekend – a challenge.
One weekend at the beginning of July saw Silverstone F1 (168,000 people on the Sunday and 500,000 over the whole event), Hollowell Steam Fair (attendance 40,000), Godivia (70,000) a Pride event in the centre of Daventry on the Saturday and biblical rain on the Sunday, it was a HUGE challenge.
That’s what we were up against. Fingers were all crossed.
