When it comes to Christmas, we don’t do things by halves at Whilton Locks Garden Village. We’re all about festive magic, family fun and those little moments that make Christmas so special. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find a whole world of Christmas wonder waiting to be explored!
Let’s start with something really cool – our fabulous real ice, ice rink! Whether you’re a seasoned skater or more of a wobbler, there’s great fun to be had by all. Ice skates are included, and because Christmas is the season of giving, we give additional booking fees and charges the old heave ho ho ho! No extra charges, no nasty surprises, and even our parking is free. Hey, that keeps us firmly on the nice list!
Look out for our special skate sessions, too, including SEND and toddler skating, so even more families can join the fun.
We absolutely love Christmas decorations, and we’ve got plenty to make your eyes sparkle. Our spectacular bauble wall features more than 5,000 baubles, alongside traditional favourites and exciting new traditions, including our mesmerising Infinity lights. Whether you’re dressing your tree in timeless style or looking for something a little different, you’ll find inspiration galore.
Talking of trees, nothing quite beats the look and smell of a real Christmas tree. Choose your favourite, top quality tree and our helpful elves will net it for you and even take it to your car! Prefer to fake it? Our choice of artificial Christmas trees is second to none. Add traditional Christmas plants, including poinsettias and cyclamen, and you’re well on your way to creating a festive home.
Of course, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without gifts! We’ve got presents galore, whether you’re shopping for loved ones or treating yourself. And for those eagerly awaited festive encounters, our amazing Santa’s Grotto is always a highlight, with all our events that are incredibly popular year after year. Our festivities kick off with Pudsey, before Elsa, Dash – our brilliant Virtual Reality sleigh ride – and The Grinch join the party. There’s magic, laughter (well, perhaps not much from the grumpy Grinch!) and plenty of opportunities to make wonderful memories.
Feeling peckish? Christmas at Canalside is always a tasty treat, with Afternoon Tea, Breakfast with Santa, Tea with Santa (or that grumpy Grinch) and tuck in to fabulous festive food to enjoy right up to the big day and on into 2027.
And don’t forget Bruno’s! Our pet shop is a must-visit for your furry family members, with toys, treats, gifts and everything your pets need for a very merry Christmas.
