Stormy weather

We are often asked what’s the best bit of the Whilton Locks Ice rink.
It’s a tough question.
Could it be the real ice? It’s real nice.
It could be the helpers. Just look at these Penguins! There are Seals, Whales and even Bananas too. They are all great fun.
It could be our helpers – staff that are trained to make sure everyone is ok.
It could be the rink-side cafe. Mmmm hot chocolate, my favourite.
It could be the great value. You can choose off peak and pick up some real bargains – and with all skates there are no hidden fees (ice skates boots are included in the price, for instance) and there are no booking fees, if you book online.
Fancy taking your chances? It could be that ‘walk-ins’ are often available to simply show up and skate.
It could be the opportunity for all. We welcome skaters of all abilities and disabilities with skates for SEND, toddlers, wheelchairs and even exclusives for groups.
With Storm Claudia due tomorrow, we reckon the best bit could be the roof.
It’s like being covered by a reassuring fringe!

From Friday, all through into the new year, the rink is open whatever the weather.
We are ready for Claud – so, keep skating!
