Another quick update from our opening weekend. It all started with Pudsey and our fabulous skates to raise money for this fantastic cause.
Here are a couple of sneaky insights.
With the warmest temperatures EVER during the build-up week, we have to admit stress levels were rather high and it was a huge relief to open the rink on time. Here, the first pic is the team briefing – and oh boy it was tense. Thankfully Pudsey was there as a very calming influence, keeping an eye (just one) on the proceedings.
Next we see Pudsey’s reaction as a supporter takes a tumble (don’t worry they were fine and couldn’t stop laughing).
Following that, ahhh the joys of photography. A mysterious green character appeared on the ice and this was the very first photo – just as a skater whizzed by!
Next, it’s Pudsey again. He was so impressed with all the skaters he just had to have a go too. Banana powered. Yellow is, of course, Pudsey’s favourite colour.
And finally, as we continue to count the pennies, it was fabulous to see BBC Children in Need were loving our posts!
